BTBU Business School hosted the 15th International Conference on Asian Financial Markets and Economic Development

On November 29, 2019, the 15th International Conference on Asian Financial Markets and Economic Development, and the Symposium on Finance of Asian Countries and Markets, hosted by the Business School, were held in Beijing. The conference was co-hosted by Nagasaki University, the Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, Shiga University, and the University of International Business and Economics. More than 200 experts, scholars and researchers from more than 30 universities at home and abroad, including the University of Arizona and Tsinghua University, as well as some teachers from BTBU Business School and Economics School, along with international and graduate students, attended this academic conference.


As BTBU Business School hosted the conference, Xie Zhihua,Vice Chancellor of BTBU, and Mao Xinshu, Dean of the Business School, delivered keynote speeches for the conference. As co-organizers of the conference, Professor Yuzheng Okada, former Dean of the Economics Department of Nagasaki University, Professor Akira Ogura, Vice Chancellor of Shiga University, and Professor Xing Xiaoqiang, Associate Dean of the International Business School, University of International Business and Economics, respectively introduced the overview of their universities and gave keynote speeches. Professor Shantanu BANRJEE from Lancaster University, and Researcher Feng Xiaoming, Executive Editor of SSCI Journal China & World Economy, also gaves peeches respectively.


The conference organised six parallel sub-forums, in which the lecturers reported their papers, the reviewers made comments and suggestions, and finally a free discussion was held on the spot. Scholars from both home and abroad were present at the conference, creating a strong academic atmosphere.


The lectures and reports of this conference contained cutting-edge and high-level research results in the fields of finance, management and economics, which provide a good basis and platform for transnational cooperation and research.
