Prof. Xiao Zezhong Appointed as Co-editor of BAR

Prof. Xiao Zezhong, a renowned alumnus of the Business School and a famous scholar in accounting, was appointed as co-editor of British Accounting Review (BAR). BAR is an authoritative international journal of accounting. The appointment marks the first time that a Chinese became co-editor of the journal since its launch in 1969.


BAR is the representative magazine of British Accounting and Finance Association (BAFA). As an authoritative international journal in the accounting and financial community, it publishes the latest original research achievements.


Prof. Xiao Zezhong is a postgraduate from the accounting major. He taught at our university from 1987 to 1996. He is now appointed as the Director of Accounting and Information Management Department in the University of Macau. He is known across the world as an expert of accounting. He mainly focuses on accounting and corporate governance. He has been engaged in the editorial board in BAFA since 2005. He is also the associate editor and a member of the editorial boards of many international periodicals. Other than that, he is the co-founding editor of China Journal of Accounting Studies. The journal is the gazette of the Accounting Society of China.
