The Business School of BTBU Held the Forum “Innovation and Future of Business Education”

On the afternoon of October 18, the Business School of BTBU held the forum “Innovation and Future of Business Education”. Zhang Yun, the Vice Chancellor of the university, 19 deans from different colleges and universities, and more than 160 representatives from the BTBU Business School attended the forum. The meeting was chaired by Zhang Chunping, School Committee Secretary of the Business School.


Zhang Yun delivered an opening speech. On behalf of BTBU, she extended a welcome to all the experts and scholars and expressed her heartfelt thanks for their long-term concern and support to the university. She introduced the 70-year development history of BTBU and the characteristics of its business discipline. It is hoped that through this forum, the developmental path of business education can be discussed, thus making contributions to the cultivation of business talents and the development of the discipline.


Mao Xinshu introduced the history, achievements and goals of the development of the Business School. He hoped to seize the opportunity to learn from the advanced experience, practices and suggestions from deans of other business schools, thus cultivating more outstanding business talents.


Feng Gengzhong, from the School of Management, Xi’an Jiaotong University, Chen Deqiu, from the School of International Businessof the University of International Business and Economics and 17 deans of other business schools attended the forum to discuss the innovation and future of business education. They introduced the disciplinary characteristics and innovative practices of their schools and shared experiences in business school administration, from strengthening the construction of teaching teams, carrying out innovation and entrepreneurship education, promoting MBA education through school-enterprise cooperation and other related perspectives. Besides, they also gave some details about deepening international cooperation, integrating online and offline teaching to realize digital education, developing a textbook system suitable for China’s economic development, strengthening the profound academic background of general education, improving academic evaluation, and strengthening performance management.


Everyone believes that it is necessary to deeply understand the development requirements of higher education and the trends of big data informatization. Carefully studying the demand for business talents in economic development, optimizing training concepts, innovating training modes, strengthening cultural construction, and cultivating more outstanding management and business talents who adapt well to social developments are also required.
