The Seminar on Business Combination Involving Enterprises Under Common Control of China Accounting Standards Committee (CASC) Held at BTBU

On January 17, 2019, a seminar on Business Combination Involving Enterprises Under Common Control of CASC was held in a conference room of the Business School. Xu Huaxin, deputy director of the Research Office of CASC, presided over the meeting. Xie Zhihua, Vice Chancellor of BTBU, was in attendance and delivered a speech. Xie Deren, Professor of School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University, Liu Hao, Professor of School of Accountancy of Shanghai University of Finance and Economics, Liu Fang, Director of the Operation Department of China Asset Management, Sun Mei, Partner of Ernst & Young, Zhang Qingbo, Partner of KPMG, Shen Yingling, Partner of Pan-China Certified Public Accountants, Qiu Lianqiang, Partner of Grant Thornton, Hu Jianzhong, Chief Accountant of finance company of Dalian Shipbuilding Industry, Hao Shanyong, Manager of China Telecom, Mao Xinshu, Secretary of the party committee of Business School, and other members of the advisory committee, senior experts, and scholars from academia and practice, as well as several staff members of CASC were in attendance.


Deputy Director Xu Huaxin reported on the work of the CASC in 2018, and Zhong Bing reported the progress of the project of business combination involving enterprises under common control. All the experts partook in a lively discussion.


This seminar marked a significant event for our school as it allowed us to participate in the consultation of accounting standard formulation and promote accounting foreign exchange and cooperation. It would play an important role in further enhancing the reputation and influence of the Business School in the accounting discipline and promoting the development of the accounting courses.
