BTBU Business School Successfully Held the 2019 Off-Campus Tutor Appointment and Commendation Seminar

To strengthen the education management of postgraduates and improve the quality of postgraduates’ training, on December 11 2019, the Business School of BTBU held the 2019 Off-Campus Tutor Appointment and Commendation Ceremony and the Graduate Training Innovation Seminar in the Digital Age.


Dean Mao Xinshu delivered a welcome speech and expressed his heartfelt thanks to the tutors for their long-term support and help. He hoped that everyone could share their opinions freely to push forward the characteristic education of business talents.


The seminar conducted the appointment and commendation of off-campus tutors. A total of 59 off-campus tutors were newly appointed this time. They were middle and senior managers from finance, consulting, media, technology, medical care and other industries, having rich practical experience and management wisdom. Dean Mao Xinshu issued letters of appointment to them and took group photos. Subsequently, the leaders of the Business School awarded 13 off-campus tutors with honorary certificates of outstanding off-campus tutors, expressing their gratitude to them for their long-term support and dedication to postgraduate training.


Zhang Peng, the representative of newly hired off-campus tutors and chief innovation officer of Ucommune (Beijing), delivered a speech. The representative of outstanding off-campus tutors, Chief Accountant of China national Salt Industry Group Co., Ltd. Jiang Zhanhua and Managing Partner of Grant Thornton Accounting Firm Zheng Jianbiao shared their experience in mentoring students.


During the Graduate Training Innovation Seminar in the Digital Age, the tutors from inside and outside the school held lively discussions focusing on seven topics, including school-enterprise cooperation course setting, company visits, school-enterprise practice bases, entrepreneurial guidance by off-campus tutors, career development guidance, student innovation training, and new requirements and innovations for curriculum construction.


In his concluding speech, Vice Chancellor Xie Zhihua expressed his heartfelt thanks to the off-campus tutors for their suggestions and explained the future direction of the Business School education. He hoped that everyone would work together to promote the talent training of the Business School of BTBU.


This seminar is a platform for communication between tutors from inside and outside the school and a bridge between students of the Business School and the tutors. The 19th-level professional master’s students met and talked with their tutors at the meeting.
